Diabetes in
  the Workplace

People living with diabetes work in a variety of roles in the workforce.

Diabetes shouldn’t get in the way of a successful lifelong career.

Most jobs can accommodate people living with diabetes without any problems.

There are some jobs, however, where living with diabetes may impact on safety requirements.

Some people may experience discrimination or difficulties in the workforce.

However, every employer has a responsibility to all employees – including people with diabetes.

People living with diabetes should feel safe and respected in the workplace and be provided with the privacy and confidentiality they need to manage their diabetes.

The more you know about your diabetes and how to manage your health and blood glucose levels, the more productive your career can be.
