1-on-1 consultation with our Credentialled Diabetes Educators, Accredited Practising Dietitians and Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- People living with diabetes are eligible for a GP Care Plan (also known as GP Management Plan) through their General Practitioner. This provides subsidised access to Allied Health Professionals.
- If you do not have a GP Care Plan you can still contact us for an individual appointment.
- Consultations with a GP Care Plan incur a gap payment, with members receiving a discount.
- DVA Gold Card holders who are current Diabetes SA members and have a valid GP Care Plan are eligible for funded 1-on-1 appointments and group classes with no gap payment.
- Funding may be available through NDIS, Home Care Package, or private health insurance. Please check with your relevant provider or fund for further details.
1-on-1 Consultation Pricing
Diabetes Educator, Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist incur the following fees.
With a GP Care Plan, Medicare will rebate a portion of the consultation. The client gap payment is the remaining out of pocket cost.
Please note full fee payment is required at the time of the appointment. If paying with a debit card the Medicare rebate will be repaid straight into your bank account. If paying with credit or cash you will be provided with an invoice to claim the rebate from Medicare (online or at your local service centre). Rebate only available with a valid GP Care Plan referral and if you still have one of your five allied health visits available at the time of your appointment.
Diabetes SA members will receive a further 20% discount on the client gap payment.

Group Exercise Physiology Classes
A one-on-one initial assessment must be completed with the Exercise Physiologist (EP) prior to commencing group classes.
